Anna Ruth (Gordon) Tilford, 91, joined her Savior, Jesus Christ for eternity on Thursday April 5, 2018 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital.
Born in Owensboro, KY, she was a homemaker, a 30 year member of Trinity Outreach, and a member of New Life Church. She attended Campbellsville College where she was a voice major, and met her husband of 68 years. She was a soloist, song leader, and sang in the church choir. Her passion was singing with her family and at the Atria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Tilford, Sr. and her parents, Effie and James Gordon.
Survivors include, two sons, James O. Tilford, Jr. (Sallye) and Michael G. Tilford (Georgia), and daughter, Robin L. Gillespie (Tim); one brother, Alva Gene Gordon (Mary), sister, Carolyn Walger (John). Also survived by eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, April 9, 2018 at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation 1pm-6pm Sunday.
