Germaine Nerette-Balan (96) of Brockton died April 5th at home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Levius Balan.
She was born in Croix-des Bouquets, Haiti daughter of the late Edmond Nerette and Dieudonne JN Baptiste. Germaine was a grocery store owner in her home country. She enjoyed singing, dancing and entertaining family and friends at her home.
Germaine is survived by a son Jean Claude Balan of Haiti, 3 daughters, Marie A. Remy of Brockton, Marie Balan of Boston and Marie Carmelle Balan-Morose of Haiti, 2 sisters, Evanie and Gerda Nerette both of Haiti, 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral Services in the Brockton Temple 7th Day Adventist Church 237 Court Street Thursday April 12th at 10 am. Viewing 8 am prior to services. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
