Rita M. (Fisher) Symonds, 66, of Franklin, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Blaire House of Milford.
Born in Milford on March 8, 1952, she was the daughter of the late William and Rita (Pitt) Fisher.
Mrs. Symonds was a resident of Franklin for most of her life and graduated from Franklin High School in 1970. She had resided in Blackstone for several years while she raising her family.
Mrs. Symonds earned an associate’s degree in respiratory therapy from Holliston Junior College in 1976 and practiced respiratory therapy for 38 years.
She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts, travelling and camping.
She is survived by two sons, Eric Symonds and his wife Jill of Blackstone and Sean Symonds of Newport News, Virginia, two daughters, Donna Bates and her husband William, Jr. of Uxbridge and Theresa Zerrien and her companion Andy Wetherell of Millville, 5 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She is also survived by two brothers, Richard Fisher of Holiday, Florida and William Fisher of Blackstone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in the Ginley CrowlFuneral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Monday, April 9 at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m.
