Obituary

Marion E. Caldwell, 91, of Derry, NH, died peacefully on Wednesday April 4, 2018. She was born in Derry, NH on March 10, 1927, a daughter of the late Maurice and Georgia (Reid) Piper, Sr. Marion had been a lifelong resident of Derry prior to moving to Durham. Marion loved her family, friends, crocheting, a good party and traveling. Although a good cook, she NEVER missed an opportunity to dine out with family and friends. She loved the view from her porch at Birch Street in Derry, but was always ready for another trip whether it was by plane or car.

She is survived by her daughter, Michele Caldwell Dennett and her husband J. Christopher; her granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Rodriguez and her husband Joel; her grandson, Owen Reid Dennett; two great grandsons, Lucas David Rodriguez, and Max Evan Rodriguez; her sister, Marjorie Piper Keith; her sister-in-law, Shirley Grundstrom Caldwell; her nephews, Dr. Craig Caldwell, Gary Keith, David Keith, Richard Keith, and Maurice Piper, III; her nieces, Lynn Caldwell Rawhouser, Brenda Keith, Esq., Linda Keith Mullen, and Karen Keith Norris; ten great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, David Phillips Caldwell in 1993, and her brother, Maurice Piper, Jr. in 2001.
Our family would like to thank the staffs at Brookdale Spruce Wood in Durham, and The Villager in Goffstown, NH for their kindness and caring.

Calling hours were held on Thursday, April 12th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 13th at 10:00am in the funeral home. The burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sonshine Soup Kitchen, 4 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH 03038, or to Pinkerton Academy Alumni Center, 5 Pinkerton St., Derry, NH 03038.
