Obituary

Armand J. Carignan, 84, of Berlin, passed away on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at his home with his partner and his daughter by his side. He was born in Somersworth, NH on May 2, 1933 the son of Raymond and Corana (Boisvert) Carignan and lived in Sanford, ME until he was 19 when he moved to Berlin. He had been employed as a truck driver by Lavigne’s Red Wing Express, Adley Freight, Yellow Freight and lastly for Isaacson’s Container Service. Armand was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and liked to hunt and fish and was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his partner Dot Nadeau of Berlin; his children Armand R. Carignan and his wife Angela of Hooksett, NH, Donna L. Fortier and her husband Michael of Contoocook, NH and Sharon A Carignan and her partner Stacey of North Conway, NH; grandchildren Maura L. Carignan of Pembroke, NH, Brian A. Rice of Manchester, NH, Jason Rice of New York, Craig Hood of Dummer, NH and Tony Fortier of Penacook, NH; and many great grandchildren; brother Rene Carignan of Lebanon, ME; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Beverly (Wheelock) Carignan.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 21, 2018 at 10 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening April 20 from 7 to 9 PM.
