Sandra Elizabeth (Lane)Wood of Wareham, formerly of Forestdale and Middletown, CT, passed away on March 30, 2018.
She was the daughter of John and Serafina (Rosati) Lane. Sandra was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband, Daniel Wood. And is survived by her cherished children-her son, David Wood, of Nevada, and her daughter, Kristin Sawyer, of Forestdale; Kristin’s husband, Justin and two adored grandchildren, Evan and Maya Sawyer; her sisters, Loretta MacEachern, and her husband, John, of Norwood, and Rosemary Nguyen, and her husband, Thang, of Clarksville, TN, along with her aunts, Clara Rosati, of Marshfield, and Kathleen Langkil, of Florida; her uncles John Dominic, of South Yarmouth and Joseph Rosati of Walpole, along with several cousins.
Sandra went to Tufts Dental School in Boston and worked as a Dental Hygienist. Sandra loved to read,-mostly biographies-to knit and sew. She was also a very talented baker, making a “Big Bird” cake and other creations for her children’s birthdays. Sandra will be remembered for her kind, loving and generous ways. She had a big heart and an even bigger smile. She had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. She loved her family and will be sorely missed. There will be a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, Middletown, CT (off of Bow Lane) on Wednesday, April 11, at 1:00 pm.
