Ida Elizabeth Rounseville, also known as Beany to family and friends passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 31st, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She
was the devoted mother to Nichole D’Ann Johnson and Marshall Scott Rounseville.

In June 2016 Beany’s name changed to Nini with the arrival of her First grandchild Angel Feather Spears-Johnson, four years later Brandy-Ray Caldwell Johnson arrived adding more love to her life. Her entire existence revolved around her three girls. There was nothing in her power she wouldn't have done to see them happy and achieve their dreams.

Ida had many nieces and nephews, but any one that knew her, knew her two Nieces Lashann Andrade and Natasha Lacey were her bonus daughter’s. Loving all
five of her girls “ a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck”

Ida was blessed to have two sets of parents and is predeceased by mother’s Daisy F. Stanton White and Freida I. Stanton Johnson and Step-Father James White. She is survived by her fathers Harry M. Johnson, Sr. and Lawrence Whitford, Sr. She is also survived by sisters; Elnora White King, Evelyn Hazard Burke, Alice Munyon, Cherie Girard, and brothers; Albert Hazard, Lawrence Hazard, and Lawrence Whitford, Jr.

She is predeceased by brothers; Harry M. Johnson, Jr. (Manny), Derrick E. Hazard, Charles Phillip Hazard, Roger Whitford, Ralph Tirrell and sisters; Elvira Hazard Lowry,
Beverly Whitford and Sandra Coleman.

Coming from such a large family, Ida will be missed by many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.

Nini as she was called by all our Children, had an open door & always answer their phone calls policy. Nini would stop what she was doing to make sure our children had a warm place to stay, a home cooked meal, a little TLC and even a stern lecture when and if needed. Anyone who ever spoke to Nini would hear her say “I will always take care of the kids…..these adults are not my cup of tea.”

Friends and Family are going to miss Ida’s kind and giving spirit. Ida’s strength and dignity is going to be remembered forever.

Services will be held on Friday, April 5th at the Mashantucket Pequot Spiritual Center at 936 Shewville Road, Ledyard, CT. Calling hours are from 12PM to 1PM followed by a memorial service from 1PM to 2PM.
