Richard Foster, age 84, of Braintree passed away on March 27, 2018. Richard was born in Boston then raised and educated in Quincy. After his service in the Navy, he settled in Weymouth where he started and raised his family. He also spent some years in Plymouth, NH which he enjoyed very much. Richard was a long-distance truck driver for most of his life, drove a taxi for a few years later on, and also spent some time in large equipment transportation. He also loved music, his favorite being classic country.
Richard is survived by his children Kathryn Scott and her husband David of Pembroke, Laura Robinette and her husband Kenneth of Ohio, Michael Foster of Florida, Bonnie Foster of Florida, and the late Stephen Foster, his grandchildren Jason, Heather, Joshua, Jonathan, Megan, and Hillary. Richard is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and his siblings Frank Foster of CA, Ellen Torrey of Norwell, and the late Ronald Foster.
Richard’s services were private at his family’s request. He is interred at the MA National Cemetery located in Bourne, MA.
