Larry was a life-long Red Sox fan, and passed his love of baseball onto his children and grand-children.

He was a self-made entrepreneur. He owned several businesses throughout his life, starting with a Cities Service gas station & garage in East Whitman. Larry became a Whitman icon when he was a constant presence, seated atop his perch at Whitman Billiards, which he owned from 1963-1971. He was the general manager of Abington Subaru from 1972-1982. He was an antique and classic car enthusiast, and owned many cars over the years. Eventually this hobby led to his business in the Car Show world. Larry loved to travel, and over the years, he and Margaret vacationed together in 48 States.
