Martin J. McDonough, 78, of Milford, NH died Tuesday November 8, 2005 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH. Mr. McDonough was born in Boston, MA on December 24, 1926 a son of the late Bartley and Nora (Powell) McDonough. He resided in Milford since 2001, formerly living in Hudson, NH. Mr. McDonough was a US Army veteran of WWII. He was employed in maintenance for the MBTA in Boston, MA for over 40 years. He enjoyed music, traveling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by three sons, Kevin McDonough of Merrimack, NH, Brian McDonough of Manchester, NH, Edward McDonough of Milford, three daughters, Patricia Buckland of Keene, NH, Carol McDonough of Milford, Ann Marie Kelly of Rindge, NH, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Mr. McDonough was predeceased by his wife, Mary D. (Bonfanti) McDonough in 2004 and by his son, Joseph McDonough in 1973.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday November 11th at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry, NH. Calling hours were on Thursday from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A graveside service will be held on Saturday November 12th at 1:30pm at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Donald St., Bedford, NH.
