Leo P. Ryan, 79, of Taunton, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday April 1st, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Born August 17th, 1938. Leo proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from August 30th, 1955- August 29th, 1961. Leo was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal, worked for Western Union and Rockwell International.
He had a passion for camping and outdoor activites. Leo was known for his great sense of humor, strength of character, and his unfailing willingness to help others. Spending time with his grandchildren was what he loved the most.
Leo leaves behind his beloved wife, Blanche Sikorski-Ryan and four children, Joan and her husband Mark Mulcahy, Steven and his fiance Suzette, Jefferey and his wife Christine and his youngest daughter Amy Ryan and her partner Jesse Maura. Leo also leaves behind eight grandchildren Adam, Ashley, Caitlin and Dalton Ryan, Andrew and Alec Mulcahy and his beloved grandaughter Kayla Ryan and her brother Nicholas Demarco. Leo also leaves five great grandchildren. Leo leaves two sisters, Beverly Silvia and Janice Underhill and her husband Charlie. Leo was also preceeded in death by his three sisters, Shirley, Rita and Joanne along with three brothers, James, Richard, and Raymond. Leo was well lived and well loved.
Private services are being held for his family.
