John C. Goatley, Jr., 96, of Louisville passed away Friday, March 30, 2018.
John was a native of Lebanon, KY., and retired from DuPont after 35 years of service.
John came to Louisville as a jockey; he was an outrider and trainer at Churchill Downs. He was a musician (drums), also in the Air Guard and a member of Kentuckiana Scuba Divers.
Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Vivian Gilley Goatley who passed away in 2011.
Survivors include his son, John Michael Goatley (Janice); one grandchild, Joseph Michael Goatley (Christina); two great grandchildren, Kaelynn and Carson.
Cremation was chosen. Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway are handling the arrangements.
