Humphrey, James H. 91, of Louisville passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
James was a native of Hodgenville, Ky. and had retired after 28 years of teaching. He taught at Butler High School after 27 years. He was a graduate of Manuel H.S. and U of L. He was a avid sports fan, old movies and loved stray dogs & cats. A Merchant Marine in Pacific during WWII & U. S. Army Veteran in Italy during Korean War.
Preceded in death by his wife, companion of 60 years Ambie “Marcy” Humphrey; parents, Everett and Lena Humphrey.
Survivors include his sister, Lillian Brewer; a brother, Rev. Donald Humphrey (Pat); sister-in-law, Virginia Humphrey; several nieces and nephews; his beloved cat, Fezziwig.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 – 1:00 P.M. Monday.
