Obituary

Romone Thomas-Cooper of Vermont died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at his home in Vermont.

Romone Thomas- Cooper was born to Gail Marie Brown-Congdon Rokotuibau on May 1, 1974. His Father was Alfred Thomas from Zion City, Baton, La. He is survived by his step fathers Koroi Rokotuibau and Manny Cooper. He is also survived by his aunt Gina Brown- Congdon, his two brothers, DeRies Pires and Matthew Cooper and three sisters, Tawnii Cooper- Smith, Tiffany Cooper, and Tabitha Mc Bride. His children are Tristan Peacock, Ealisca Thomas- Cooper and Nathan Thomas- Cooper, and two grandsons Luca and Kiepher, as well as many nieces and nephews. Romone was a proud tribal member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation but also had blood ties to Narragansett, Seekonk Wampanoag, Pawcatuck Eastern Pequot and Mohegan tribes.

Many dear family and friends will miss his quiet gentle spirit. He was a survivor with 19 years sobriety that needs to be respected and celebrated, a model success story in this respect!

Romone loved his Vermont home, it’s fishing and mountains. He loved farming, growing things and animals. He had a special sense of humor and a very special smile! He was well loved ! Enough said!
