Normand W. Duclos, 88, of Berlin, passed away on Thursday March 29, 2018 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was born in Berlin on March 1, 1930 the son of Louis and Mary Anna (Demers) Duclos and was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Korean War and had been employed as a millwright by the local paper mill, retiring at age 62. Normand was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, was a Life Member of the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW and was a member, Past President and Sports Director of the Club Joliette Snowshoe. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and sports.
Family includes his wife Jacqueline (Asselin) Duclos of Berlin, NH; his children Suzanne Wittman and husband Larry of Quakertown, PA and Richard Duclos and wife Trina of Berlin, NH; grandchildren Lori Duclos and Trisha Steinman; great granddaughter Ellie May; brother Rene Duclos of Enfield, CT; sister Doris Dube of Enfield, CT; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by siblings Leo Duclos, Henry Duclos, Alex Duclos, Jules Duclos, Armelde Pitre, Rita Pelletier and an infant brother Louis Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 5, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Thursday June 21, 2018 at 10 AM. There will be no calling hours. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
