Evelyn "Lynn" (Mello) Orr, 90, of Westport, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Orr, Jr.
Mrs. Orr was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph Mello and Mary (Moniz) Mello Furtado and had resided in Westport since 1965. Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years as a seamstress for the former Royal Garment and Bo-Mar Manufacturing Co. in Fall River and was a member of the ILGWU. She later went on to work as the site manager for the nutrition program for the Council on Aging for 5 years and more recently, Bristol Elder Services. She also ran the nutrition program at the Jewish Senior Center.
Survivors include her 2 sons: Steven J. Orr and his wife Denise of Westport and Douglas P. Orr of Westport; her brother: Thomas Mello of Westport; a granddaughter; 2 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
