Herman Edward McDaniel, 77, of Tifton passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley and the Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. Mr. McDaniel will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 2, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. McDaniel’s brothers and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 17, 1940 in Omega, Mr. McDaniel was the son of the late Willie McDaniel and Lillie Mae Hayes McDaniel. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Imogene Varnadore and Virginia Taylor. He was the owner and operator of Bob’s Flowers in Tifton and a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church.
Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife, Bobbie Reynolds McDaniel of Tifton; five sons and one daughter-in-law, Charlie E. McDaniel, Tommy E. and Cathy McDaniel, Brian E. McDaniel, Bill E. McDaniel and Edd E. McDaniel, all of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen McDaniel Rankin and husband, Johnny of Seale, Alabama; five brothers, Bobby Lee McDaniel, William C. McDaniel, Buck McDaniel and Gene McDaniel, all of Tifton and Roy McDaniel of Guyton; two sisters, Marie Hall of Tyrone and Sarah Grund of Jacksonville, Florida; and seven grandchildren, Kinsey “Sunshine” Rankin, Thomas “Big Thomas” Rankin, Logan “Big Logan” Mazzuchelli-McDaniel, Alyssa “Alice” Mazzuchelli-McDaniel, Bryce McDaniel, Seth McDaniel and Maryssa McDaniel.
