Obituary


Walter F. Brennan III, 73, of Mashpee, formerly of Whitman, passed away on March 27th after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband for 40 years to the late Kathleen C. (Danila) Brennan.

He was born in Boston, son of the late Walter F., II and Elizabeth (Dority) Brennan.

Walter was a longtime resident of Whitman and was a buyer for the Stop & Shop Corporation, also worked for many wholesale and retail distributors before he retired in 2008. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Connecticut.

He was a member of the Departmental 56 Club for many years and also enjoyed bowling. Walter loved watching his grandkids play sports.

He is survived by his children, Wally Brennan and his wife Karen of Hanson, Jennifer Jones and her husband Brian of Plymouth and Kelly Eaton of Plymouth, his brother Paul Brennan of Connecticut; also his grandchildren, Amber Brennan, Zachary and Brandon Eaton, Brayden and Hannah Jones, several nieces and nephews.

His funeral services will be on Tuesday April 3 at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 2rd from 5:00-7:00PM.
