Ceasar J. Rodrigues, age 86, of Taunton, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine R. (Medeiros) Rodrigues.
Born in North Dighton, MA on February 7, 1932, he was a loving son of the late Edward and Georgianna (Gomes) Rodrigues.
Ceasar grew up in North Dighton and was educated in Taunton schools. He attended Monsignor Coyle High School and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marines Corps during the Korean War.
Mr. Rodrigues was a retired letter carrier, having worked for the United States Post Office in Taunton for thirty years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the VFW and DAV.
He is survived by his devoted children Edward F. Rodrigues and Paula J. Rose both of Taunton. He was the dear brother of Vanda Mossey and Velia Terra both of Taunton, and the late Hilda Boyle, Angelina Mendonca and Octavio Rodrigues.
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd at 10:30 A.M. at the Taunton Memorial Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St. (Off Route 140, Tremont St.) Taunton. Burial will follow at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 P.M.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 2nd from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Due to the limitation of flowers allowed at the National Cemetery, Ceasar’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
