Veronica Margaret Lyons, 62, a lifelong resident of Millis, died peacefully on March 25, 2018. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Anne (Stephen) Jones, grandchildren, Adele Veronica Jones, Stephen Robert Jones and Paul Kinzelman Jones.
She leaves behind four sisters, Theresa Weiss, Maryanne C. Lyons, Maureen B. Lyons, and Bernadette (Daniel) Caldararo, and two brothers, John J. Lyons, and Hugh J. Lyons. She is predeceased by her brothers, Mark B. Lyons, Timothy F. Lyons and Leo F. Lyons.
She is a graduate of Millis High School, Framingham State College (B.S.) and Bentley College (MBA).
There were always fireworks with Veronica (literally) as she was born on the Fourth of July 1955. She was a woman of deep faith who took great joy in doting on her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She attended every athletic game she could to cheer on her family. Nothing was more important to Veronica than family and she would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. She cherished her time on Cape Cod with her sisters and she was an avid photographer.
She completed her college education while raising an infant daughter. A hopeless romantic, she never gave up on true love and saved a special place in her heart for her dog C.J.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 12 at the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) from 4 to 7 pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 13 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 111 Exchange St., Millis.
