Robert J. Morneau, 64, of Salem, died unexpectedly Friday, March 23, 2018 at the NSMC / Salem Hospital. Born in Beverly and raised in Salem and Beverly, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Barbara J. (Conley) Morneau.
A veteran of the Vietnam years, he served stateside with the Navy. Following his tour of duty he worked in I T support for Wang Laboratories from 1980 through 1990. With the closing of Wang, he worked for the Danversport Yacht Club until he was forced to retire on disability. Bob loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping.
He is survived by his daughter, Chrystal Boyle, a step-daughter, Stacy Alves of Lynn, his brother Raymond P. Morneau and wife Silvia of Cadiz, KY, his sister, Joanne M. Howell and husband David F. of Salem, his grandchildren, Anthony Rodriguez, Dani & Vanessa Vicente, Jansellis Otiz, Walter & Lillian Boyle and his great-grandchildren, Anthony Rodriguez, Jr., Analiz Vicente and Vianny Santana as well as nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visiting hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
