Mrs. Leslie Berdon, 52, wife of William Berdon, entered into rest on Friday, March 23, 2018 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday evening, March 30, 2018 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Pastor Ron Fearneyhough officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until service time.
Leslie grew up the in the Washington DC area, but had been a longtime resident of the Augusta community. She enjoyed outdoor activities, including running and biking on the area’s many paths as well as kayaking on the Savannah River. She had a passion for helping others; community involvement and support for the needy were prioritized in every part of her work, church and home life.
Leslie was involved in organizing and developing many church, community and charitable organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Augusta Woman’s Club, and assisting in the Grants Panel for the Community Foundation. She was beloved by many for her passion and drive in everything she accomplished and her dedication to helping the Augusta community was apparent to all who met her.
In addition to her husband, William, she is survived by her children; Tyler Berry, Colin Berry, Alexis Berry, and William Berry, and her brothers; Richard Oliver and Steven Oliver.
