Norma C. (Alfred) Duhamel 93, lifelong resident of Brockton died quietly March 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late James L. and Vera C. (Heap) Alfred and wife of the late George A. Duhamel Jr.
Norma was a 1942 graduate of Brockton High School and attended Bridgewater State College. Following her education Norma first went to work as a Photographic Colorist for Wheelen Photography Studios and then a Jewelry Buyer for Mar-ell Distributors in Walpole for 17years, a Sales Manager of the Jewelry Department at Kings Department Store for 20 years and Edgars Jewelry Counter both formerly in Brockton.
She had been a member of the Christian Women’s Club in Halifax and a 12 year volunteer for Good Samaritan Hospital information desk.
Norma is survived by her sons and their spouses; Craig and Kimberly Duhamel of Rome, GA and Douglas and Deborah Duhamel of Brockton with whom she made her home, her grandchildren Brian, Kristen, Kerri and Mark Duhamel and David Packard and her great grandchildren Ava, Callie, Fiona and Logan. Norma was also mother to the late Cheryl Packard, sister to the late James L. Alfred and grandmother to the late Tracey Packard.
Visiting hours will be in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-6:30 pm, immediately followed by a funeral home service at 6:30, all services to conclude at 7 pm.
