Gerald O. Rheault

Manchester– Gerald O. Rheault, 84, died peacefully March 26, 2018 following years of declining health.

He was born in Manchester on August 20, 1933, the second son of George and Lillian (Cote) Rheault. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.

He was a graduate of Manchester West High School, class of 1951 and University of New Hampshire in 1955.

Gerry proudly served in the U. S. Army for two years following his college education.

Gerry had a 30-year career as a stockbroker with Morgan Stanley, and during those years assisted many clients with personal financial situations.

He was a member of the Manchester School Board, an executive board member of St. Mary’s Bank as well as a 50-year member of Club Richelieu. He also held membership in the (USCA), The United States Croquet Association, and played in many competitive competitions.

Gerry's adventurous spirit led him and Yvette to many wonderful countries around the world. He always enjoyed travel and all the opportunities it provided to meet new and interesting people. He was also an avid cribbage player most of his life, enjoying both the competitive and social aspects of the game. Always quick with a joke or a story, "Bamps", as he was known to his grandchildren and close family, simply made life fun. Gerry will be sorely missed but leaves a legacy of love, life and happiness for all to cherish.

Gerry is survived by his cherished wife of 20 years, Yvette (Lamoureux) Rheault, his loving daughter, Danielle (Rheault) Perreault and husband, Donald, two grandchildren. Sophia and Lydia, his brother, Eugene Rheault and his wife, Fernande. He also leaves four stepchildren, Karen Smith and husband, James, of PA., Ken Reicher of CA., Amy Lewis and husband, Ken of PA., Tim Reicher and wife, Julie of PA., four step grandchildren, Shannon Smith of NYC, Ashley and Ava Reicher of PA., Daniel Lewis of PA. and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Jeanne D’Arc in 1995 and one brother, Armand in 2008.

Calling hours will be on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10 am in Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave.

Committal prayers will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd.
