Ruth Ellena Gomez, 56, of Santa Paula, California, passed away on March 24, 2018 in Santa Paula, California. Ruth was born in El Paso, Texas, to Graciela and Isidro Barro, on May 8, 1961. She attended high-school at Newbury Park Adventist Academy. She was a Jane of all trades, owned her own house-cleaning business and worked throughout Ventura County. She enjoyed working on puzzles, going to concerts, watching movies and spending time with family. She was involved in her local Seventh-day Adventist Church. Ruth is survived by her mother, Graciela Barro, her husband, Manuel Gomez Sr. of Santa Paula, California, her children Manuel Gomez, Jr., Linda Gomez, Santiago Gomez, her brothers Ezequiel Barro and Juan Barro and her sister Ana Cruz, three grand-children Marcus, Natalie and Sarina, as well as 2 grand puppies Roxy and Raider and a feathered baby named Guero. She is preceded in death by her father, Isidro Barro. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, a fighting spirit and stayed strong in her faith until the end.
A Memorial Service will be held at Ventura Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Ventura, California on April 7, 2018 at 3:00pm.
