John R. Santos, Jr., 74, of Westport died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Sharon L. Duperre. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February.
Born in Fall River, son of the late John R. and Marie (Jardin) Santos, he had lived in Westport since 1974. Mr. Santos was a star athlete in his day playing both baseball and basketball. He was a probation officer with the Bristol County Juvenile Court for 28 years and prior to that taught English and Latin at Henry Lord Middle School in Fall River.
Including his wife, he is survived by his brother Gerald P. Santos and his wife Kathleen of Westport; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Paula Pawlik.
Private arrangements were held.
