Cindy L. (Pittsley) Preston, 60, of East Freetown died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Lawrence W. Preston.
Born in Freetown, daughter of the late Archie and Leocadia (Perry) Pittsley, she lived there all of her life.
Cindy was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church.
She was employed for over 30 years at St. Luke's Hospital, with her most recent position being the beloved Director Secretary to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer in the Patient Care Services Division.
Cindy was the life of the party and lived for her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and had formerly been a Girl Scout leader and involved with the Eagles.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Jillian V. Preston and her husband Mark Platt and Jenna L. Jusseaume and her husband Jeremy; her grandson, Ryan Preston; her sister, Sandra Christoun and her husband Frank; her nephew, Toby Christoun and his wife Lindsay and their daughter Stella; her niece Kelly Christoun and her two sons, Sean and Braiden Moriarty; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 8:45 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Church at 10 AM.
