Kathryn Waddell Guy, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, March 23, 2018, at her daughter’s residence in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Monday, March 26, 2018, at Crossview Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Jeff Parmer officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Mrs. Guy was born December 10, 1947, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late James Glenn & Robbie Lou Winn Waddell. She was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School. Mrs. Guy owned and operated Kathy’s Daycare for many years. She was also a real estate agent in Augusta. She was a caregiver to many and will be remembered for her giving spirit. Mrs. Guy loved watching The Young & The Restless and was adamant that the sink not hold any dirty dishes. She was a member of Crossview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kerri & Chris Nichols and her youngest daughter, Cassie Burnette, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Michael Litchard, Taylor Litchard, Cameron Burnette, and Rylan Harrell; and great-grandchildren: Madison Tucker, Jordan Litchard, and Michael Moore. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved Yorkie, Missy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dale Guy and a granddaughter, Madilyn Burnette.
