LAMPTON, Ralph, 91, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018.
Mr. Lampton was an accomplished jazz bassist who played with the Pat Patton Combo, Mel Owen, and Doc Severinsen. He was employed at the old Durlauf Music Store for over 30 years. He was a member of 1st Church of the Nazarene and an Army Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula (Tindall) Lampton; his parents, Eula and Dennie Lampton; and sister, Geraldine Bunt.
Mr. Lampton is survived by his son, Donald Ralph Lampton (Brenda); sisters, Barbara Davis and Lois Brodeur (Robert); and nieces, Sue McGuire and Donna Tindall.
Visitation will be 10am-12pm Monday followed by the service at 12pm at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
