Jane R. (Sheehan) Drolet, age 77, of Auburn, formerly of Texas and Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. “Boston Bob” Drolet, who died on December 9, 2016.
Born in Attleboro, MA on January 6, 1941, she was a loving daughter of the late Edmund J. and Ethel A. (White) Sheehan.
Jane grew up in Mansfield and was a 1959 graduate of Mansfield High School. While growing up in Mansfield, she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
Prior to retiring, Jane had been employed as an administrative assistant for ten years at Gulf Coast Fasteners in Houston, Texas. She had made her home in Auburn for the past five years.
Jane was an avid bowler and especially enjoyed times spent at the Mansfield Airport, watching her late brother Jerry fly planes. Along with her late husband, trips to Las Vegas were always a favorite point of destination.
She was the dear sister of Philip T. Sheehan of Taunton, and the late Wilbur “Jerry” Sheehan and Ann C. Moreshead. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 11:30 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior to the services on Tuesday morning beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Jane’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the American Cancer Society, 1324 Belmont St. #204, Brockton, MA 02301.
