Gregory “Greg” R. Ballarino 52, of Franklin, died peacefully, with family at his side, Monday March 19, 2018, following an illness. He was the husband of Kristy E. (Conroe) Ballarino.
Born March 9, 1966 in Boston, a son of Robert J. and Mary N. (Padden) Ballarino of Cumberland, RI, he was a lifelong Franklin resident.
He was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1984. He continued his education at Wesleyan University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science. Greg was the former owner of G&B Electric in Franklin.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing pitch, and watching all the New England sports teams. He was a former Franklin Pop-Warner Football coach.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his children, John Anthony Ballarino and his wife Sarah of Norwood, Nathan R., Grace A., and Faith L. Ballarino all of Franklin, his siblings, Janine A. Ballarino of Franklin, Christopher A. Ballarino and his wife Lisa of Bellingham, Mark J. Ballarino and his wife Patricia of Franklin, Adam J. Ballarino and his wife Shelley of Franklin and Jeremy W. Ballarino and his wife Jackie of Franklin.
He was the brother of the late Jennifer “Jen” Ballarino and Justine E. Donovan.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Friday March 23rd, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin at 10AM.
His interment will be held privately.
