Christos Fokianos, age 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Baltimore, MD. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, the late Ekaterine Fokianos. Christos is survived by his sons Pericles and wife Eva, Kostas and wife Mary, his daughter Maria and his son-in-law Athanasios Markides. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Despina, Christos, Christina and Emily.
Christos was a gentle, quiet man with a witty sense of humor. He worked hard to provide for his family, immigrating to the United States in 1972 as a skilled machinist. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, spending summers with them in the village in Greece.
The viewing will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:30a.m.; after which the funeral service will commence. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, and the Makaria will take place in the church hall.
