Frances M. Rencevicz passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, March 6. Her husband, Frank D. "Butch" Rencevicz, died in 1996.
Born June 3, 1925, in Blakely, Pa., she was the eldest daughter of Stephen and Mary Kuruc Spegar. Before retirement, she was employed by the New Cumberland MEPS Induction Office.
Frances was a resident of Middletown, Pa., and a member of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish for 70 years.
Frances was a very able and self-reliant individual who never hesitated to help others to the best of her ability and resources. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved all members of her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, swimming, yard sales, and was an excellent amateur winemaker.
We wish to thank her caregiver, Marsha Sutton, for the help given over the past four years.
Frances was preceded in death by her son, David; and a brother, Stephen.
She is survived by sisters, Mildred Szwejkowski, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Mary Ann Antonik, of Olyphant, Pa.; brothers, William, of Blakely; and Daniel, of Scott Twp., Pa.; granddaughters, Bonnie Frey, of Strinestown, Pa.; and Stephie Smith, of New Cumberland.; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be conducted Thursday at noon in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery, Olyphant.
