Frances J. Gallien, 86 of Derry, NH died Sunday March 18, 2018 at Aurora Senior Living in Derry. Fran was born in Derry on October 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Dobbs) Havens. She was a 1949 graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry and had been a lifelong Derry resident. She enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to Foxwoods Casino.
She is survived by her three sons, Edward Gallien of Derry, Paul Gallien of Tilton, NH, and William Gallien of Derry, one daughter, Marsha Klein of Lumberton, NC, 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one brother, John Havens of Newport Richie, FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis E. Gallien, her son David Gallien, and by her brother, Fred Havens.
Following cremation, graveside services will be held in the spring at Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are handling arrangements. Donations in her memory may be made to a local animal shelter of one’s choice.
