Quinlan, Ellen A.
of West Roxbury passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 18, 2018. The beloved daughter of Anne M. Quinlan and the late Frederick J. Quinlan, Esq. was born on May 12, 1957. She lost a valiant struggle with cancer but was fortified by the constant love and devotion of her daughter, Courtney Alice Camps. In addition, she is survived by her mother, her loving aunt Frances Minno, many cousins, dear friends whom she considered family, and her beloved West Highland White Terrier, Dawson. Ellen first attended Beaver Country Day School and then graduated from Noble & Greenough School '75 in the school's first co-ed class. She then attended Wheelock College '79, after which she pursued a lifelong career in early childhood education. Ellen was a Child Life Specialist in children’s hospitals and later managed daycare centers around the state. Eventually she became the Director of Human Resources at The League School of Greater Boston and was loved by many colleagues throughout her career. Her passions included travel, cooking, orchid tending, Grateful Dead concerts and adventures big or small with the many friends she made along her journey.
Ellen's family will be forever grateful to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Hospital for their unwavering care and dedication.
