Brenda J. Reaves, 54, of Waynesville, Georgia, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Ricky Kellum officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Reaves was born November 12, 1963, in Bartow, Florida, to the late James “Junior” & Velma Lee Moody Mitchell. She formerly worked as a waitress at Floyd’s and The Heritage House Restaurant in Fitzgerald. She had lived in Brantley County for the past 14 years, moving from Fitzgerald. She enjoyed fishing and dancing and loved life. She was always ready for her next adventure.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ray Reaves of Waynesville; daughter: Crystal & Jeremy Bell of Lakeland, Florida; step-children: Rodney Reaves of Fitzgerald, Susie Reaves Mason of Fitzgerald, and Stephanie Reaves Pridgen & Chance of Ocilla; grandchildren: Ronni Bell, Keagan Bell, Rodney Reaves, II, Foster Dixon, Dylan Mason, Andrew Reaves, Logan Mason, Dustan Fletcher, Blake Reaves, and Colton Reaves; two great-grandchildren: Blayden Reaves and Zane Reaves; a brother, James Ed Mitchell, III of Fitzgerald; and two sisters: Retha Lynn & Johnny Ricky Cotton of Waynesville and Pat Mitchell & Carl Snowden of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Gail Findley and Mary Lou Spires.
