Robert E. Auger 76 of Welles St. Woonsocket died Friday at Landmark Medical Center. A former Burrillville resident, he was the husband of Janet V. (Leclaire) Auger. Mr. Auger was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Arthur and Roseanna (St. George) Auger. He was a foreman in the spray painting department of the former Taft Pierce Company. He also worked as a security guard at Garelick Farms in Franklin before retiring in 1993. Mr. Auger was also a lifetime member of the Cercle Laurier in Woonsocket.
Mr. Auger is also survived by two sons, Marc Auger of Manville, and David Auger of Woonsocket, one daughter Robin Tetreault of Woonsocket, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in Our lady of Good Help Church, Victory Hwy, Mapleville, RI. Burial will be held in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. visiting hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm
