Nicholas A. Iannuzzi passed away peacefully at the Beth Israel Hospital on Thursday night. He was 87. Raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Mary (Circiello) Iannuzzi. A Somerville resident for most of his life, Nicholas served in the Air Force during the Korean War. A hardworking man, he operated his own successful plumbing business, until his retirement. Nicholas was devoted to his family, he enjoyed reading especially books on history and politics and was a longtime supporter of the Pine Street Inn. Most of all he looked forward to time with his grandchildren and family, especially the summers at his cottage in York Beach Maine.
Nicholas was the beloved husband of Ruth (Vonschoppe) Iannuzzi and a devoted father to Andrea Milne and her husband Peter, Nicholas Iannuzzi Jr., and David Iannuzzi and his wife Maria. He was a loving grandfather to Thomas, Ava, John, Cara and Layna Iannuzzi. He was a dear brother to Josephine D’Antonio, Anthony Iannuzzi and his late wife Mary, Joanne Federico and her husband Domenic, and the late Carmen Iannuzzi, Yolanda Puzzo, Mary Riccardi and Lucille Federico. He is also survived by his niece Jody Dill and many other loving nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, March 19th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
