Yates, Russell A. Jr. of Wellesley, formerly of Norfolk, on March 15, 2018 at the age of 64. Loving husband of Barbara Kenneally Yates for 33 years. Brother-in-law of Jean Kenneally of Mansfield. Beloved only child of the late Anna (Lucas) Yates and Russell A. Yates Sr. Born and raised in Jamaica Plain where he proudly attended the Mary E. Curley School, after which he attended Boston Technical High School and Boston State College.

Russell worked as an automotive technician for several years at various local dealerships, including Clair Honda, where he met his future wife Barbara while working on her Honda Civic. After many years as a technician, Russell became a Master Certified Automotive Technician and started teaching at Tad Technical School in Chelsea. After leaving Tad Tech, Russell accepted a position with Hunter Engineering Company as a Regional Alignment Trainer for New England.
Russell and Barbara moved to Norfolk in 2001 where they lived happily with their beloved dogs for 15 years. Russell has been lovingly cared for by the staff and caregivers at Newton Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s Care since 2016.
