DENISE C. FRITZ “BUG”, age 93, reunited with her husband, Arthur W. Fritz, Sr. “Pop” on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from her home in Louisville Kentucky.
She was a member of Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church. She was born Denise Clementine Fauville in Marchienne-Au-Pont, Belgium on January 12, 1925. Denise met Arthur during World War II while he was serving as a U. S. Army radar technician in Belgium. They married in Belgium in 1945 and she sailed to the States aboard a war bride ship. They set up their home in Louisville and raised six children. Denise was known for her sharp wit, creative use of the English language, her hard work ethic, devotion to her husband, love for children, adoration for her grandchildren and a heart for God. In her last few years of life, she always ended her conversation with “God be with you.”
Preceding her in death was her husband of 60 years, Arthur William Fritz, Sr., brothers, Jacques and Andre Fauville and sister, Blanche Fauville.
She is survived by sons, Raymond Fritz, Arthur (Joyce) Fritz, Jules (Jan) Fritz and Jacques Andre Fritz; and daughters, Jacqueline Fritz and Denise L. Fritz; grandchildren, Elena Fritz, Nicholas (Nicole) Fritz and John Denham; great grandchild, Claire Marie Fritz; and special family friend Susan Glasgow.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with entombment in Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 – 4 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home.
