Carol Miles Whaley, 66, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at her daughter’s residence in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Jerry Riggs officiating. Mrs. Whaley will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends the evening of Friday, March 16, 2018 and Saturday, March 17, 2018, at her daughter’s residence at 233 Ty Ty Sparks Road in Ty Ty.
Miles Whaley, Buddy Whaley, Bryce Whaley, Mason Whaley, Clinton Hogan and Brandon Fincher will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 7, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas, Mrs. Whaley was the daughter of the late James Daniel Miles and Sammy Ruth Fletcher Miles. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Beth Moses; and two grandchildren, Jayme Augustine Alaniz and Wylene Elizabeth Whaley. She formerly lived in Moultrie and graduated from LPN school at Moultrie Technical College and served 15 years as an LPN on the Surgical Unit at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Whaley is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edward “Buddy” Whaley of Tifton; six children and their spouses, Cyndi and Joe Hale of Ty Ty, James Whaley of Tifton, Jayson Whaley of Anaheim, California and Samantha and Jose Perez of Tifton, Miles Whaley and Buddy Whaley, both of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Mike Russell of Hastings, Florida; nine grandchildren and their spouses, B. J. Hale, Niobe and Rachel Funderburk, Shelby and Brandon Fincher, Joshua Hale, Bryce Whaley, Ricky Whaley, A. J. Perez, J. P. Perez and Milly Perez; and one great-grandchild, Dillan Hale.
