Paul A. Tardiff, age 72, passed away on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at his home. He was born in Berlin, NH on June 9, 1945 the son of the late George Tardiff Sr. and Annette (Vachon) Tardiff and has lived in Berlin for most of his life. Paul was a graduate of Berlin High School with the class of 1963 and had attended Keene State College and the NH Technical College in Concord, NH. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a school teacher in Berlin for seventh and eighth grades and was also a shop teacher. Other employment included White Mountain Distributors and being a longtime writer for the Berlin Daily Sun and the Berlin Sun. Paul was a member of the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW and the Ryan-Scammon Post #36 American Legion in Berlin. He enjoyed time spent at his camp in Millsfield for many years.
Members of the family include his wife Ann (Girouard) Tardiff of Berlin; two sons Marc Tardiff and his wife Erica of East Hampton, CT and Michael Tardiff and his companion Lindsey of Laguna Hills, CA; five grandchildren Cora Mae Tardiff, Jacob Connolly, Dustin Connolly, Coltin Connolly and Sarah Connolly; a brother George Tardiff Jr. and his wife Helene of Berlin; a sister Denise Martin of Berlin; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Mary Ann Hayes.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday March 19, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Sunday March 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to the Berlin Public Library Summer Reading Program in his memory.
