Glenda J. Hobby, 68, of Ashburn passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at her residence.
Born on January 20, 1950 in Turner County, she was the daughter of the late Archie Lawson and Frances Hogan Hobby. Glenda retired from the Turner County Board of Education where she was a teacher. She was also a teacher at Southern Regional Technical College. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca as well as the Professional Teacher's Association.
She is survived by her brothers, William F. "Billy" (Katie) Hobby of Rebecca, Lawson E. (Anne) Hobby of Tifton and Wayne (Beverly) Hobby of Ashburn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
