Hyannis, MA: Phillip R. Vinton, 75, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in the Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He leaves 2 daughters and their husbands- Rene and Joaquin Mendes of Hyannis, MA and Christine and Paul Chambre of Ft. Myers, FL. He also leaves his 5 loving grandchildren- Ryan, Michael, Emerson, Hannah, and Cameron.
Phil was born in Worcester, son of the late Russell and Ruth (Kasperson) Vinton. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School and Worcester Jr. College. He worked for many years as a stock manager at Digital Equipment Company. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester and was an avid New England sports fan, enjoying the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. A calling hour will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 10-11am in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St Worcester, MA 01605. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Phil's name may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
