Louise Hawthorn Lockerman, 85, of Tifton passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at the Rehabilitation of South Georgia in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Conway Harris officiating. Mrs. Lockerman will be laid to rest at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Mizpah Cemetery in Pelham. The family will receive friends Monday, March 12, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born January 16, 1933 in Thomas County, Mrs. Lockerman was the daughter of the late Morris Hawthorn and Maggie Lee Hawthorn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David R. Lockerman, Sr.. She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Lockerman is survived by two sons, William R. Lockerman and David D. Lockerman Jr., both of Tifton; one daughter, Naomi Lockerman of Tifton; and a special niece, Linda Herbst.
