SAFIOL Demetra K. (Karambelas) of Weston, March 10, 2018. Beloved wife of George E. Safiol for 60 years. Devoted mother of Olympia S. Twomey and her husband Mark of Berwyn, PA., Peter G. Safiol of Southboro, and Christina E. Pastore and her husband Eric of North Reading. Loving grandmother of Patrick and Anna Twomey, Selena, Demetra, and Angelina Safiol, Nicco, Mia, and Vincent Pastore.
She was the loving daughter of the late Olympia and Peter Karambelas of Kingston, PA. Sister of the late Constance Tshilds and her surviving husband Ivan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Demetra was a graduate of Linden Hall Academy in Lititz Pennsylvania, as well as the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She was a 20-year board member of the Greek Orthodox Ladies National Order of Philoptochos. Demetra was fun-loving, sweet and thoughtful, and was very much beloved by her family.
Visiting hours at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 57 Brown St. Weston on Monday, March 12th from 4-7pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13th in the church at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Linwood Cemetery, Weston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Demetra’s memory to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
