Obituary


Kevin Michael Sterbenz, 28, left this earth unexpectedly on March 2, 2018 . As the middle brother of the Three Musketeers his physical presence will be sorely missed. His sweetheart ,Becca Lanoue, was the love of his life as he expressed it and she will have a hole in her heart forevermore. Kevin was born in California , raised from the age of 5 to 14 in Florida then on to Georgia until 16 then to Duxbury where he has spent the last 12 years of his life. Kevin was a 2008 graduate of Duxbury High and he attended Cape Cod Community College. Kevin is son of Margaret (Peggy) Sterbenz of Mahwah, NJ and the late Allen E Sterbenz; Brothers Terrence Sterbenz of Brighton, MA and Colin Sterbenz of Lancaster,CA; Aunts / Uncles ;Craig and Elizabeth Sterbenz of Laughlin, NV /Telluride ,CO; Thomas and Lynda Ball, WNY, NJ; Eileen and Wendell Cerne of Duxbury, and cousins Gregory Cerne of New Paltz, NY; James Cerne of Duxbury, MA, Michael Gavin of Cordlandt Manor, NY, Kathy Gavin Feeney of Kennesaw, GA; Shawn McCredie of Far Hills, NJ. And hundreds of friends, colleagues and acquaintances who have shared their love of Kevin with statements like ...” He lit up a room with his smile”....”He could always make me smile “ ....and “He saved my life (when I came back from Iraq) he taught me how to feel and live again”.

You will be missed, my ginger Kevin. The world has lost a charm ; a charm that has been gained by the universe .Your charisma, energy , and heart will live on in all who knew and loved you .

Visiting hours will held on Friday, March 16th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 17th at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Tremont Street, Duxbury.
