Sandra Esther Roy, 73, after a courageous battle with cancer was in the loving presence of her family, who were always by her side, when she went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday March 6, 2018. She was born on September 6, 1944 in Methuen, MA, the daughter of the late Settimo "Sam" Licciardello and Edna (Graham) Graves.
Sandra had a strong Christian faith and was proud to have been saved by her Lord when she gave her life to Jesus between the ages of 10 and 12. As her personal relationship with the Lord grew, she chose to publicly recommit her life to Jesus and as a public demonstration of this was baptized again in Highline Lake, Colorado at the age of 61.
For many years she worked in accounting at Smith & Nephew Endoscopy in Andover, MA.
She is survived by her husband, Jean Roy, three daughters, Audra Desilets and her husband Eric Sr., Andrea Grych and her husband Paul, and Sonja Plumer and her husband Russell Sr.; five grandchildren, Nichole, Stephanie, Russell Jr., Eric Jr. and Kyle; three great grandchildren, Sophie, Eric III, and Chloe, as well as two cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family in the Londonderry Christian Church, 372 Mammoth Road, Londonderry on May 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Her ashes will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover, MA in the Roy Lot on St. Jean Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local church or to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
