FALL RIVER… Messias C. Rebelo, 81, of Fall River passed away March 7, 2018 at Catholic Memorial Home following a long illness.
He was the husband of Theresa (Oliveira) Rebelo.
Born in Remedios, Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Domingos A. Rebelo and Margaretta (Reis) Pacheco. He had moved to Fall River in 1972.
Mr. Rebelo had served in the Portuguese army and worked as a Mason. He also owned the former Rebelo & Sons Corp. Import/Export Fisheries and was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church.
Along with his wife, Messias is survived by his daughter: Gloria Oliveira Rebelo DeMelo and her husband Manuel of Dartmouth; 4 sons: Carlos Rebelo and his wife Ana of Fall River, Vasco Rebelo and his wife Lynne of Dartmouth, Messias Rebelo, Jr. and his wife Julie of Florida & David Rebelo of Fall River; a brother: Jose Rebelo of Old City Toronto, Canada; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gloria Rebelo, Antonio Rebelo and David Rebelo.
