Bette A. (Barlow) Bump passed on March 6 at the Wingate @ Silver Lake in Kingston, Bette was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents Earle H. Barlow and Sarah A. E. (Peckham) Barlow and five siblings, Ruth Barlow, E. Berkeley Barlow, Barbara D Gardiner, Beverly J. Feitner and Bradley P. Barlow.
As a young girl, Bette worked with her father in his Boston based jewelry store and graduated from Abington High School in 1940. After marrying Ray Bump, Bette worked as a teller with the Brockton Savings Bank for some time.
Bette and Ray became fixtures in the golfing scene locally and across Massachusetts. They were members of the Brockton Country Club, the Cohasset Country Club and Halifax Country Club.
Bette is survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the Staff of Elmwood for their love and caring of Bette.
Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service to be held THURSDAY MARCH 15 at 11:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM
